I have got a new YouTube video for you, in German and English!
In this new video I am sharing with you a few tips & tricks for how to do One Legged Crow Pose (Eka Pada Bakasana). I hope you like the exercises with the yoga block. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
I am sharing with you a 20-min yoga sequence, which you can do if you have limited time or even post cardio workout.
As you can see, I have just been back from a run and here are some stretching exercises which you can do if you still have a bit of energy left.
I am giving you options in this video, so it should be ok to do for everyone. Of course if you are more experienced, you can try to do the more advanced yoga inversions.
You might have seen me on YouTube already? And yes, it was me! I have been privileged to be part of the Everything 5 Pounds ad. Guess what my role was…a yoga teacher! I really enjoyed this shoot, as I just had to illustrate my fulltime job and the Everything 5 Pounds film crew made it really fun and easy.
I wanted to share with you pictures from my photoshoot with Asana Rebel. It is the second time I have worked with these brilliant people and it’s always super fun and I am delighted with the results. Their new yoga app is online now, so if you want to try it out and practice yoga with me in your home, download it right now (please note that it is only available in Germany at the moment). Enjoy looking through the pictures!
Today I want to share with you the recipe to a super healthy salad, known as Kisir.
Kisir is the Turkish name of the Bulgur salad and very popular in Turkey.
Bulgur is a form of wheat. It is low in calories and fat, rich in protein and fibre, rich in mineral magnesium and helps reduce weight.
This is what you need:
– 2 cups of Bulgur / wheat
– 4 cups of boiling water
– 1 cup of olive oil
– 1 table spoon of tomato and paprika paste
– 1 tea spoon of paprika powder
– 1 onion
– 2 tomatoes if you wish
– Parsley
– Spring onions
– Lettuce
– 2 lemons
– 1/2 cup of olive oil
– Spices & seasoning (salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin)
– Dill
– Mint
First wash the Bulgur and add 1 cup of Bulgur into a bowl. Add 1 cup of boiling water to the bowl, close the lid and wait for 10 min.
Meanwhile start chopping the parsley, onion, spring onions, mint, and dill into little pieces.
After 10 min the Bulgur should have absorbed the water. Now you can start adding the tomato and paprika paste, lemon juice, olive oil, the spices and then all the greens which you chopped earlier.
Mix it all well with your fingers.
Now take one piece of lettuce and one table spoon of the salad, wrap it in the lettuce and enjoy!
I hope you liked my video. Please give me any feedback and let me know how you get on!
I am so happy to announce that it is two months since I have been fully qualified to teach pregnant ladies and I am really enjoying it!
If you are pregnant and would like to book your private yoga session with me, please get in touch.
My pregnancy classes include traditional yoga postures (modified for pregnant women), breathing and relaxation.
Private classes are perfect for women who do not feel comfortable in joining public classes or just have no time to go to a studio and prefer the comfort of their own home. In private yoga sessions you would have the chance to ask questions, we will break down postures and you will receive personalised alignment instructions.
Zeynep teaches privately, covering all areas in London.
Yoga is proven to be very beneficial for pregnant ladies: – It helps developing strength, – relieves tension in the lower back, hips, chest, upper back, neck, shoulders, and calms the nervous system, – helps connecting with the baby, – is an amazing preparation for labor, – meeting other pregnant ladies, sharing experiences, – calming the mind, focusing on the breath, focusing on being pregnant, – developing stamina and balance.
I am looking forward to accompany you through this beautiful journey of pregnancy and birth.
2015 is over and I have only great memories! This year felt like a super roller coaster without ever slowing down.
I was very lucky to have hosted yoga workshops in London and abroad, presented for two big yoga channels, been part of many Hollywood films and met plenty of inspiring souls.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me on my path to get to where I am and to everyone who attended one of my classes. I hope to see you again next year.
I am super excited for the new year with more events, workshops in London, abroad and retreats to come. Please stay tuned on my social media channels for further info.
Enjoy looking through my gallery showing my best of 2015.
