In my new YouTube video, I am showing you 8 yoga asanas which you can do when menstruating.

You might feel low in energy, or you might have extreme pain, your mood changes, you feel tired, bloated, or you just want to stay in bed for the first few days of your period. This is what all women have to deal with.

This is an important time for women to listen to our bodies, to reconnect, feel grounded and relaxed.
If you do want to do some yoga though, you should avoid strong asanas particularly strong backbends, twists, arm balances, standing positions that put a lot of stress on the abdominal and pelvic region and inversions, because they are against the natural flow and this is why it is so controversial.

Gentle forward bends are nice as they give a light massage to the abdominal and pelvic region
and bring calmness to the mind.

Pranayama, breathing techniques are very useful during menstruation, yoga nidra and meditation. They help to feel more grounded and helps to calm the mind.

I hope you enjoy this yoga sequence.

10 min Guided Meditation

I am sharing with you a very simple 10 minutes guided meditation. You will soon figure out that meditation is easy and everyone can do it.

All you need is a comfortable seated position, a quiet spot and then we will begin to focus on the breath. We turn our focus inward, being full present as we observe our inhalation and exhalation.

I hope you will enjoy this 10 minutes of meditation with me. Let me know how you get on.

Yoga For Runners Now on YouTube

Are you a runner? If yes, do you stretch after your workout?
Now, I have got exciting news for you, as I have filmed a 20 min yoga sequence for all my running friends and those who love to do cardio training.

This little stretching sequence is mainly targeting the hips, hamstrings and quads. Ideally you do this yoga sequence AFTER your CARDIO training.

Face Oil Review

Back from holiday I realised that my skin and hair feels dry and needs extra care after a few days in the sun.
In the last few months I have been testing a few facial oils, evaluating:

1. Is it 100 % organic?
2. Does it leave the skin greasy?
3. Smell

4. Price

MERME – Facial Beauty Elixir

I have been using MERME for a few months now and I am very happy with the results. You can be sure that this product is 100 % cold pressed rosehip oil.

It has the certifications: Organic, Vegan and ECO Certified.
What I really like about this oil is that the oil itself is thick, but it does not leave the skin greasy.
Unfortunately the smell of the oil is not the most amazing, but this also proves it really is organic.
This oil contains vitamin A, which is great for anti-ageing, vitamin C, which helps to stimulate tissue growth and collagen production, vitamin E, which helps against skin dryness and Omega’s 3, 6 & 9 which help to nourish the skin.
At 32,00 € it is pricey, but this little bottle lasts for a long time and you are guaranteed to have a good quality oil.

Sukin – Organic Rosehip Oil

Another rosehip oil I have been testing is from the Australian brand, Sukin.

This product is also certified to be 100 % cold pressed organic rosehip oil. As a consequence the smell is not great either. The oil is very nutritious, but not greasy at all. It absorbs quickly into the skin.
It helps to sooth redness due to dry/itchy skin and reduces the signs of ageing.
It is better value than the above product at 12,94 €.

ArtNaturals – Vitamin C serum

I have been using this product for a few weeks. The vitamin C serum is very fast absorbing. It also has an anti-ageing effect and is also good to use after having been in the sun. The ingredients like aloe vera, jojoba oil and hyaluronic acid are very soothing for the skin.

Talking about the smell, it has a sweet gentle smell to it.
I could not find any certifications online, proving that the products are 100 % organic.
The 30ml bottle costs 11,15 €. Again this will last for a long time.

Facial oils are in my opinion a must have. They work for all skin types and you can use them throughout all seasons. Only two or three drops are enough to massage the oils into your skin. I usually use them before going to bed. Unfortunately the facial oils are pricey, but you also know that they are organic and a bottle lasts for a while.
